No meetings today, but a (typical) crazy day none the less.  My Wednesday consisted of three new students with incomplete files, an OT visit, a secure school drill, a full day of teaching, lunch with a special little student, and lots of scheduling.  Tip of the day...lock the door or put up "do not disturb" sign when you have to get paperwork done.  I read a statistic somewhere that said with every interruption we lose over 5 minutes of productivity.   This totally has to be true!

Tomorrow I will be trying Word Work with my students.  Last April I started doing Friday centers for Math and Language.  Some of the centers were more successful then others, but they were fun and the students liked the change in pace. This school year I am starting out early.  I will try to take a few pictures of our activities and post them for all to see.

September

There are so many great resources out there for general education teachers...not as many for those who teach Special Education.  I am hoping to organize my ideas in one place and maybe help out fellow resource room/special education teachers.  Wish me luck!
